About Sean

For the last 20+ years I’ve worked in the UK media sector as a journalist, content creator, PR swank, marketing gimbal, crisis communications crusader, copywriter, and digital comms/social media adviser. I’m also a certified mental health first-aider.

These days, I focus on what I do best and write for some of the biggest and most well-known public and private organisations.

I don’t go in for personal mission statements, but there are a couple of things I believe to be true. One is that you should never take yourself more seriously than your work. Another is that nothing is quite right, but everything’s going to be ok.

This site is a portfolio of some of my work. It’s by no means comprehensive and features none of the video scripts, infographics, social and email copy, or ghost-written articles I’ve produced.

Everything here is my work unless it specifically says otherwise.

I’ve written for national and international newspapers, specialist trade and business titles, and I’ve launched several publications (print and online). None of that is especially easy to share online. I’ve also lectured in PR at degree level, have been director of PR & Comms at a music-tech company, and spent a while working in-house as the head of marketing at a technology company.

Before all of that, I pursued a runaway career as a musician, had a couple of near-misses with fame and fortune and picked up a few war stories along the way.
